High School Chardonnay is my largest project. I had the idea for the screenplay when I was a junior in high school when two kids convinced me to snag a box of chardonnay off of a delivery truck. During my final semester at UMass, I cast the characters and recruited a reliable crew. Over three months I perfected the script and shot and edited the movie.

Tony can't drive, and Webster doesn't read, but together they make the perfect pizza delivery team. Joint Delivery is a film we created for the 48hr Film Project in Boston. On Friday, May 5th at 7pm, we were given the genres "Buddy Film" and "Mockumentary." Every group was required to use a pizza box as a prop, including a character named "Alexander Green" who is a tattoo artist, and use the line, "She'll never know." Our initial instinct was to go with the mockumentary genre but within a few hours, we shifted our focus to a buddy film starring Jackson and Liam. We wrote through the night until the early morning when we had to power down to get some sleep. We shot "Joint Delivery" all day Saturday and wrapped up the last scene around midnight. Editing began Sunday morning and was completed about an hour before the 7pm deadline. This was an extremely challenging weekend, but we came out of it with a film we all laugh at and enjoy. Very proud of our group and look forward to participating again next year.

Where is my mind?

In one of my production classes, we were assigned to make a music video for the song, “Where Is My Mind,” by the Pixies. In the midst of my finals, I storyboarded, shot, and edited the music video all in one day. They thought it would be impossible, but put me under pressure and I’ll get it done.

NO CHEATING

No Cheating is a lighthearted thriller starring my friends. This was the first video I wrote, directed, and edited. I learned how stressful this can all be, but I am satisfied with the product. On the day of the shoot, we were down a person and had to scramble to find an actor. Thankfully, Charlie was in town and was happy to help. Learned a lot from this one.

Ten-K: Pilot Episode

I wrote the script for 10k early in college while bored in my classes. I finally got the opportunity to make the pilot episode over Thanksgiving break. Unfortunately, I was never able to shoot the rest of the series.

Elsewhere

Inspired by the coronavirus, Elsewhere is a short film I made to reflect on the current situation. I decided I needed to take advantage of the empty streets and make a short. It was very challenging to complete since I had no help. Setting up my tripod and then doing the scene just to find out I wasn’t in the frame was the main theme of this production.

Hawley House

Shot on Hi8 tape with my parent’s old camcorder. I made this video when we first moved into the Hawley house. I no longer live there, but my memories will live on forever. This video was a blast to make.

Themes Larger Than Human Understanding in Film

When I was a teaching assistant for the course: Sci-Fi Cinemas, Possible Futures, I created this video essay to present to the class. I analyzed the sci-fi films that resonated with me the most and discussed their importance.

Analyzing the Soundtrack of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid has been one of my favorite movies ever since I can remember. I was assigned an essay analyzing the original soundtrack of a movie and this film immediately came to mind.

AYTCHPEE: Gradient Trailer

Gradient is an album of fantastic beats made by my good friend, Helton. This is his debut project and I am very happy we got to work together to create visuals. I stuck with the classic Hi-8 camera and snuck in some film pics as well.

The Trend of Film Photography

In my senior year of college, I took an art and culture journalism class. The final project was to write a piece about a trend. My wrist hurt from all the writing so I asked to do a video. I did interviews with Emily Swift of Dark Slide Film Lab and my friend Robert.

August 8

After 8 months of trying to digitize this tape, I finally was able to make this video. My 20th birthday was one of my favorite days and I’m so happy to have this video from it.
